Bryant Gumbel had lung surgery for cancer
Bryant Gumbel, host of Real Sports, made a surprise announcement while guest hosting Live with Regis and Kelly this morning. When asked if he could dance he sad he couldn’t because he had a note from his doctor because the television personality was diagnosed with lung cancer and underwent surgery two months ago. The surgery involved removing part of his long and, according to Gumbel, “some other goodies”. Even though most of the tumor came back benign there was a small portion that was malignant and required treatment. He stated that he is OK for the time being, but with cancer you have to stay on top of it and adjust some bad habits like smoking.
